Energy Law
Energy Law
Structuring energy projects in a legally compliant way. Successfully implementing the energy transition.
The energy sector is highly regulated and simultaneously shaped by profound technical, economic, and legal transformation. The number of energy law disputes and regulatory enforcement proceedings – particularly in connection with REMIT – is steadily increasing. At the same time, low energy prices and short contract durations increasingly conflict with the need for long-term supply security. Climate targets must be met, and the energy transition must be implemented in a legally and economically sustainable manner. New contractual models are required to address these challenges.
Energy-specific legal advice therefore requires not only strong expertise in civil, corporate, and public law, but also technical understanding, regulatory experience, and market knowledge. Our team has many years of relevant industry experience, in particular Thomas Starlinger, who brings extensive expertise from both industry and advisory practice. A particular strength of our advice lies in combining energy law expertise with competition law and European law know-how.
