Forvis Mazars scales AI-powered transaction advisory solution

Forvis Mazars Group, the international leader in audit and assurance, tax and advisory services, has deployed an AI-powered transaction advisory solution across multiple countries, helping teams deliver greater value to clients through deeper and broader due diligence insights while maintaining rigorous professional oversight.

The solution developed by Opio uses generative and agentic AI capabilities to analyse large volumes of unstructured information on deals. The platform was designed specifically for transaction services teams, combining specialist domain expertise with embedded controls, full traceability and mandatory human review.

The rollout follows a nine-month pilot involving transaction services professionals and the Forvis Mazars Group AI team to assess the technology's fit within existing workflows, governance requirements and engagement delivery processes.

Chief Transformation Officer of Forvis Mazars Group, Florence Sardas, commented: "Artificial intelligence is already transforming how professional services are delivered but lasting impact comes from applying it responsibly, not generically, and in areas where it can create meaningful value for our clients. The rollout of this solution across multiple countries demonstrates how we are combining innovation with professional judgement, governance and human oversight, enabling our teams to work more effectively while maintaining the quality and trust our clients expect."

Forvis Mazars Group’s Financial Advisory Innovation leader and Transaction Services Partner, Gregory Volpi continued: “Following extensive testing, the solution has proven highly effective in enhancing the quality and depth of our due diligence processes. It enables our team to analyse a broader range of information, providing greater visibility across financial and non-financial matters and helping identify issues, risks and opportunities in more detail. Overall, it has further strengthened the professional judgement of our specialists, enabling them to deliver more comprehensive insights, greater consistency and enhanced value for our clients.”

Co-founder and CEO of Opio, Tristan Fulchiron, commented: “Working with Forvis Mazars Group has been demanding in the best possible way. Their transaction services professionals ran the platform on live engagements across ten countries and held it to the same standard as their own professional obligations. We believe AI creates value in this profession when it works inside the engagement itself, under the control of the professional, with every figure traceable back to its source document. That is what allows a team to increase efficiency and thoroughness on a deal while keeping full ownership of its judgement and of its client relationship.”

Responsible AI principles were integrated throughout the deployment process. The platform operates exclusively on premise, does not train on data and provides full auditability of outputs, supporting compliance with data protection requirements, internal AI governance standards and professional obligations.

This latest deployment is just one example of how Forvis Mazars is applying AI at scale across an international organisation to better prepare clients for what’s next and delivers the unmatched client experience Forvis Mazars is known for.
